Recycling line

Scrap Aluminium Recycling Line

Shred, crush and separate mixed aluminium scrap into a clean furnace-ready fraction, with ferrous and non-ferrous streams split out along the way.

Scrap aluminium recycling line layout
The problem

Mixed aluminium scrap arrives with steel attachments, paint, plastic and dirt. Feeding it straight to the furnace wastes energy on contamination and produces inconsistent recovery.

The result

A relatively pure aluminium fraction ready for de-coating and melting, plus separated ferrous and residue streams that can be sold or processed separately.

Stage by stage

How the line runs

  1. 01

    Shredding

Dual- or single-shaft shredding reduces bulky aluminium profiles, castings and UBC bales to a size the downstream stages can handle.

  2. 02

    Crushing

Secondary crushing frees trapped steel inserts, hinges and fittings from the aluminium body and brings the material to a uniform particle size.

  3. 03

    Magnetic separation

Overband and drum magnets pull ferrous attachments out of the stream before non-ferrous sorting.

  4. 04

    Screening

A trommel screen splits the flow into size fractions so each separator only sees the range it works best on.

  5. 05

    Eddy current separation

The eddy current separator ejects aluminium and other non-ferrous metals from plastics, rubber and dust.

Before final configuration

Five points we confirm before quoting

A recycling line is specified against the material and the output buyer accepts, not from a catalogue number alone.

01

Input material

Mixed aluminium profiles, castings, UBC bales and attached steel, paint, plastic or dirt.

02

Target output

A separated aluminium fraction, ferrous attachments and residue streams. Final product quality is confirmed by material testing.

03

Sample test

Throughput, recovery and output quality depend on feed composition, moisture, size distribution and final equipment settings. Confirm the final configuration with a material test.

04

Information to send

Tell us the aluminium form, steel attachment level, target furnace feed and required throughput.

05

Not suitable or needs preparation

Do not assume heavily contaminated, wet or oversized feed can enter every stage directly. Confirm attached steel, moisture, size and required pre-sorting.

Project brief

Input, output and configuration

Input material
Mixed aluminium profiles, castings, UBC bales and attached steel, paint, plastic or dirt.
Target output
A separated aluminium fraction, ferrous attachments and residue streams. Final product quality is confirmed by material testing.
Typical configuration
Typical stages: shredder, crusher, magnetic separator, trommel screen and eddy current separator. Screen size and separation settings are project-dependent.
Qualification note
Throughput, recovery and output quality depend on feed composition, moisture, size distribution and final equipment settings. Confirm the final configuration with a material test.
Next step

Send the material mix, get a stage sequence

Tell us the aluminium form, steel attachment level, target furnace feed and required throughput. We do not quote a line from a description alone; the final sequence is confirmed against the material and site conditions.

Questions buyers ask

What aluminium scrap can this line process?

Profiles, castings and UBC bales can be considered. The feed mix, attached steel and target output are reviewed before the stages are specified.

How is the final separation set?

Screen apertures, magnet arrangement and eddy-current settings are selected against the material sample and the required product fraction.

Is every stage required?

No. The sequence is built from the contamination and output requirement. A material test identifies which stages are necessary.
